In April 1987, a group of local Belizean investors bought the Royal Bank operations, renaming the Bank "The Belize Bank Limited" and thus began the third era of Belize's longest uninterrupted banking operations totaling over 100 years of service to the country.

In partnership with Hand in Hand Ministries (HIHM), Belize Bank Ltd. presented Ms. Jackline Arzu, a single mother of 6 children, with the keys to her new home—the 11th family assisted under HIHM's “Building for Change” Program. They're also the official sponsor of the 2022 Inspiration Calendar, highlighting the creative artwork of children with special needs in Belize. Plus, other sports initiatives like the Belize Bank Bulldogs softball team, the Belize Table Tennis Association, and the Adventure Sports Club. Together, thousands of Belizeans have benefited from the support of Belize Bank Ltd., allowing pursuits of traditional and non-traditional community engagements.
